The Golden Flashes weren't much of a challenge for the top-ranked Crows. Kent fumbled its first possession, leading to a 20-yard TD pass to Lance Day from QB Clarence Oveur. After a Kent punt, Oveur to TE Tomas Rosen for 14 yards and a score. Kent fumbles, 30-yard FG from Jerome Sherman. The Flashes finally busts free, scoring on an odd 84-yard TD pass in which three Kent players batted it around as the lone Crow defender dove for the pick. KSU missed the PAT though. At the end of one, HMU led 17-6. Joe Allen picked off Kent leading to a Delmar Coffee TD run. A Kent punt set up an Oveur to Uti Possidetis TD pass. Sherman tacked on another field goal and the Crows were up 34-6 at the break. HMU let off the gas in the second half as the Flashes outscored our heroes 14-7 but too little too late. The 3-0 Crows travel to College Station to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M next week.
