All Quiet in Week 11

Weekly Report Posted: April 30, 2024 19:27

No news has been reported this week.

The Nittany Lions were #7 before the season began, but here they were 4-4 (2-3 Big Ten). PSU started strong on this sunny cold day with a field goal. HMU missed the tying attempt and only got another shot early in the second. This time kicker Jerome Sherman was true. A 65-yard bomb to WR Lance Day gave the Crows the lead, but a nice ball control drive by the Lions tied it up again with a minute and a half before the break. HB Delmar Coffee ripped off a 73-yard TD, however, to HMU back on top, 17-10. PSU added a field goal to drop it to a 4-point Crow lead. In the second half, Coffee struck again with a 2-yard TD in the third and a 6-yarder in the fourth to put it away. HMU is now a fantastic 10-0 (6-0 Big Ten) and ready for a date with #3 Ohio State (10-0, 6-0) at the Horseshoe next week.
