Wyoming Escapes
Wyoming (10-1) used a two point conversion with less than 30 seconds in the game to pull past Brigham Young and earn their 10th victory of the year.
Playing poorly the whole game, the Wyoming defense stepped up when they had to. With just under one minute remaining, BYU faced a 3rd and 12. With no time outs remaining, Wyoming needed a stop to get the ball back and attempt to tie or win the game. BYU decided to try and pass for the first down, but Wyoming was there and Michael Medina stepped in front of the reciever and ran 69 yards to the house to bring the Cowboys within one. Coach T then decided to go for the win instead of the tie and called a trick play to make the 2-point conversion. The snap went to HB Wynel Seldon, he then faked the hand off to Ford who came in motion from the slot reciever position, after the fake, Seldon hit QB Jacob Doss, who was lined up at the outside reciever position, with a lateral and he ran the ball in for the successful conversion attempt to give the Cowboys the win.
Kyle Jacobo finished with 223 passing yards, 2 TD and 2 rushing TD. Mitch Unrein had 2 sacks to lead the defense.
