Defense, Defense, Defense
The Wyoming Cowboy (2-0) defense came to play Saturday. Don't believe me? Just ask the Utah State Aggies (0-2).
The Wyoming defense set school records for total yards allowed with 10, rushing yards with (-22), and sacks with six as the Cowboys drilled the Aggies 47-7. The lone Utah State score came on an interception return for a TD in the 4th quarter. So far this season, the defense has yet to allow a touchdown. Both TD's allowed this season are from interception returns. SO DE, Mitch Unrein led the D with 4 sacks on the day.
On offense, spreading the ball around seemed to be the gameplan. 8 different recievers finished with at least one reception. Karsten Sween finished 15-25 for 157 yards and one score. JR Devin Moore led the Cowboys on the ground with 75 yards and a TD on 5 carries.
Up next for the Cowboys, a very tough, nationally ranked Boise St. team. Buses will be taken to the game, and will leave on Friday night at 6:00 P.M. For more information visit www.gopokes.com.
