Alabama outlasts Iowa in Fiesta

Iowa has an A offense, an A+ defense, and is A+ overall. They are #2 in pts/gm, #13 in total offense, and #20 in total defense. We are #1 in pts/gm, #2 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. The last time we played Iowa was in the 2008 Orange Bowl when we beat them for the National Championship 48-14. Weather: Clear.

Iowa K Petty hits a 40 yard FG after our kicker missed one, 3-0 Hawkeyes. QB Josh Smith goes long for WR Teddy Johnson and he hauls in the 48 yard TD pass, 7-3 Bama. Iowa QB Barnetts throws a 17 yard TD pass to WR Dixon, 10-7 Hawks.

HB Andrew Edwards scores on a 16 yard TD run, 14-10 Tide.

QB Smith goes long for WR Johnson and he pulls down a 64 yard TD pass, 21-10. QB Smith finishes off the Hawkeyes when he finds WR Johnson for a third time on an 18 yard TD pass, 28-10.

Iowa played well against us. However, we had a senior WR, Teddy Johnson, that would not allow us to be denied.
