IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
LB Greg Walker brought down Penn QB Marvin Hall on 4th down in the third overtime. We had the 6 point lead, and Walker fought through a block (the ref threw a flag on the play, for offensive holding) and got to the QB to finally close the book on this brutal game.
GAME BALLS
QB D.J. McPhearson obviously had a pretty huge game despite struggling with some turnovers. ... CB Mike Blair, who has had an incredibly quiet season so far, led the team in tackles today, mostly thanks to valuable run support (against a team who was really running it down our throats).
KEY STATISTICS
Their ground game was so effective, they only threw six passes all game long, including overtime.
NOTES
Freshman K Casey Gipson connected on a 42 yard FG to send the game into overtime. It was the first kick he made all season when attempting from 40+ yards.
