Harvard Crimson
vs
Cornell Big Red

Box Score1st2nd3rd4thFinal
Cornell 3 0 7 0 10
Harvard 7 10 3 7 27

IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
QB D.J. McPhearson shrugged off his interceptions and bounced back with a late touchdown toss to TE Curtis Stanley. It gave us a comfortably cushion of 17 points, and it signified that McPhearson was going to finish the game strong instead of throwing another bad pick and giving Cornell a chance to get back into the game.

GAME BALLS
OLB Richard Longshore recorded 3 tackles, all of them sacks of the QB. He also deflected 3 balls in coverage, continuing to terrorize Cornell's passing game even when he wasn't rushing. ... TE Curtis Stanley caught 5 balls for 73 yards and a score that ended up being the icing on this victory.

KEY STATISTICS
We held onto the ball for more than 20 minutes, and we converted an amazing 7 of 12 3rd downs.

NOTES
HB David Taylor is now only 25 carries away from tying the record set in 2007 by Charles Baakel, who carried the ball 233 times in a single season. ... TE Curtis Stanley is now only 1 TD catch away from tying the single-season record of 7 TD grabs he set last year. ... WR Chris Jenkins now has 44 catches on the year, only 5 short of setting a new single-season record for us.
