The Panthers came out slow and didn't take the lead and keep it versus conference opponent Kentucky Wildcats until 1:05 left in the second quarter. Once UNI grabbed the lead and kept it, they put on a show of scoring.
Freshman halfback walk-on Steve Jackson led the way with 212 yards and four touchdowns.
Second in scoring was senior kicker Jason Johnson with 14 points (3-3 field goals and 5-5 XP made). The last six points went to senior left end Eric Sampson who had a 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
UNI improves to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the SEC West conference. Next up for UNI is FCS opponent Appalachian State at the UNI Dome.
