All Quiet in Week 6

Pick-fest!

The Northwestern Wildcats had just over 90 passing yards and just over 50 rushing yards against in-conference foe Ohio St. They also turned the ball over 4 times, 2 on fumbles and 2 on interceptions. They were 4-12 on third down conversions, and had 3 field goals in 5 Red Zone opportunities.

Sounds like a perfect game to me.

While the Wildcats offense continued to struggle, constituting to no offensive touchdowns, their defense forced 6 turnovers by THE Ohio St. Buckeyes, 3 of which were returned for Touchdowns (2 Interception Returns and 1 Fumble Return).

Sherrick McManus and Fred Russell each intercepted Antonio Henton once, and they returned them 90 and 57 yards respectively. Henton also threw interceptions to Brad Phillips and Michael Bolden.

Jordan Mabin also recovered a fumble early in the fourth quarter and returned it 66 yards for a Touchdown, which put the Wildcats up 27-9 against the Buckeyes.

Andrew Brewer played one of the worst games of his career as the Wildcats starter, going 6/13 for 92 yards and 2 interceptions. Stephen Simmons couldn't get anything going either and had 51 yards on 24 carries with 1 fumble.
