The Cardinal beat the Cougars in a wild game by a score of 45-38. The game went back and forth and the 3rd Quarter was the craziest.
The Cardinal started the scoring off with an interception for a TD by W. Osaisai on Washington State first offensive play. Washington State got on the board with a FG and added a rushing TD to close the 1st Quarter scoring. Washington State 10, Stanford 7.
Forcier threw an interception to start off the 2nd quarter but the defense held the Cougars. Forcier found Marecic for a TD after a Cougar punt. Washington State would find the endzone on back to back possessions to take the lead 24-14. Forcier would find Sherman for a TD at the end of the 2nd quarter. 24-21 Cougars.
Kimble would find the endzone on a 82 yard option run to give the Cardinal a lead. Forcier would find Marecic again for a TD making the score 35-24. Washington State would score a TD off a Pass but Kimble would find the endzone again and Washington State would answer again in the 3rd with another TD pass. At the end of the 3rd Stanford 42 Washington State 38.
In the 4th, A. Kimble would break the school record for rushing yards in a season. Stanford would get a FG from Zagory for a 45-38 lead. The Cougars were driving but W. Osaisai grabbed another interception and the Cardinal ran out the clock for the win.
