2008 Week 11

Oregon got the ball to start the game got the scoring started after a long drive, getting a field goal to take a 3-0 lead. Forcier threw his first pick of the game but it didn't cost the Cardinal as Osaisai grabbed a pick right back. Forcier would make another mistake and through a pick again. This time Oregon capitalized with a TD pass and a 10-0 lead.

Stanford got on the board early in the 2nd quarter with a 47 yard field goal by Zagory. Oregon would throw another interception to Osaisai and he would take it to the house for a 10-10 tie. Oregon would add a field goal as time expired for a 13-10 lead.

Stanford would have the ball to start the 2nd half but back-up TE Ladner would fumble and Oregon would recover. Oregon was forced to punt and Baldwin took advantage. Baldwin broke 2 tackles and took the punt 94 yards for the TD. Oregon answered with a kickoff return for a TD and grabbed the lead back 17-10. Kimble took a screen pass to the house on a 3rd and long play to take the lead back. Oregon would add a TD run to take the lead back 27-24 at the end of the 3rd.

To begin the 4th quarter scoring Stanford's Zagory kicked a FG to tie the game. Oregon would answer with a TD pass to take the 7 point lead. With under 2 minutes left Yancy would jump on a loose football and take it to the house to tie the game. Overtime would have to decide this game.

Oregon got the ball to start the overtime period. Following back to back sacks by Stanford, Oregon faced a 3rd and long and needed a couple yards to get back in field goal range. They connected on a 14 yard pass and made the field goal on 4th down to take the 3 point lead. Stanford looked unstoppable in the overtime period. Kimble was running with a purpose and Forcier was finding open men all over the field. He his FB Marecic for the game winning TD. Final score 40-37 Stanford wins.
