2019 Week 17

#2 Alabama (13-0) has an A offense, an A+ defense, and is A+ overall. We are #1 in everything except pass offense (117th) and turnover differential (11th). #1 UCLA has a B+ offense, a B defense, and is B+ overall. They are #5 in pts/gm, #33 in total offense, and #9 in total defense. Corso and Herbstreit both picked UCLA. This infuriated the Tide as we had been #1 all season up until the SEC Championship game. We were also the 3 time defending National Champion. No respect. Well, we made it our mission to force respect out of them.

UCLA gets a 41 yard TD run by Douglas, 7-0 Bruins. HB Adam Leonard scores on a 16 yard TD run, 7-7. HB Michael Gibbs, in his final game for Alabama, scores on a 6 yard TD run, 14-7 Bama. CB Marcel Williams blocks a punt and FS Leon Moore scoops it up and takes it 7 yards into the endzone, 21-7 Tide. This play was a huge momentum changer.

K Craig Gunn boots a 24 yard FG, 24-7. HB Tim Poe spins on one defender, jukes another one, and he's gone 43 yards for a TD, 31-7. QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan throws a 43 yard D pass to WR Jamal Johnson, 38-7.

FB Ben Wilson plows into the endzone from 3 yards out, 45-7. HB Gibbs scores his second TD of the game on a 12 yard run, 52-7. QB Sullivan throws a 10 yard TD pass to WR Bo Butler, 59-7.

CB Grant Simmons picks off a Bruin pass and returns it 73 yards for the score, 66-7. HB Elton Razzano scores on a 22 yard TD run to finish the demolishing of the Bruins, 73-7.

We did not like getting disrespected late in the season and before this game. Therefore, we took our frustration out on the Bruins.
