2019 Week 4

UL Lafayette (1-1) has a C offense, a C+ defense, and is C+ overall. They are #73 in pts/gm, #45 in total offense, and #102 in total defense. We're ranked #1 and are 2-0 on the season so far. We are #1 in everything except pass offense (110), rush defense (5th), pass defense (3rd), & turnover diff (2nd). Weather: Clear.

HB Michael Gibbs scores on a 1 yard TD run, 7-0 Tide. HB Adam Leonard takes it in from 28 yards out to make it 14-0. HB Gibbs then busts a 49 yard TD run, 21-0. ULL KR Alexander then returns the ensuing kickoff 100 yards to make it 21-7 at the end of one.

QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan throws an 83 yard TD pass to WR Mike Bishop on the next drive. 28-7. A little later QB Sullivan throws a 30 yard TD strike to WR Walter Pearman, 35-7. ULL defenseman Mitchell picks a pass and returns it 45 yards for the score, 35-14. HB Gibbs then scores on a 3 yard TD run, 42-14. From the 10 yard line, QB Sullivan options right and draws the ULL defense. At the last second HB Gibbs is pitched the ball and he jukes 2 ULL defenders simultaneously and then outraces the defense for a 90 TD run, 49-14. Less than a minute later QB Sullivan throws a 41 yard TD pass to WR Pearman, 56-14. A 46 yard FG by K Craig Gunn finishes a 38 point second quarter by the Tide.

No scoring in the 3rd quarter.

There was just too much speed and talent for the Cajuns to contain in this one.
