22 point fourth quarter huge in Aggie's win
The town of Logan, Utah was a riot after this huge come from behind win by the Aggies. The game started off fast, hot, and heavy. Both teams were off to great offense starts as neither defenses seemed to show up. It seemed so simple for the offensive units to drive up and down the field as the defense's just stood around and watched. At halftime it was a score of 31-28 USU.
The second half is where the most excitement came. Hawaii came out in the third quarter and put up three very impressive touchdown drives while the Aggies could only manage one along with a field goal. After the third quarter the Warriors lead 49-41.
But not so fast my friends, the Aggies defense came up very big in the fourth quarter as did the offense. The offense was able to outscore Hawaii and the defense held on for an exciting 63-56 win.
After the game Coach McGriffLe had this to say, "Boy that's a cold gatorade bath, but I love that feeling. What a thrilling second half. Just like college football is supposed to be. It feels good to beat a ranked opponent again. Last year it was Boise State and this year Hawaii. We are turning this season around. One game at a time. We can't worry about teams we play later in the year. We need another good week of practice and be ready to play next Saturday. I gotta go get this sticky stuff off of me."
