2008 Week 13

What a game that was played between these two teams. Back and forth, back and forth. These two teams put up a combined 59 in the first half. New Mexico State had a slight 3 point lead at halftime.

A tough Aggie defense decided to show up for the second half and only allowed 14 points. Which was better than the 31 it allowed in the first half. That proved to be important as the offense was able to manage a late fourth quarter drive to take a lead with only 30 some seconds to go. The defense hung on for a mere 4 point victory.

After the game Coach McGriffLe had this to say, "What a back and forth sloberknocker between two conference foes. It looked like a heavy weight fight out there. New Mexico State gave us all we could handle out there. We are happy to walk out of here with a win and avenge last years loss to them. Hopefully the bowl selection commitee will see that we will bring a good show to whatever bowl we would play in."
