Tech tallies 63 against ECU
After two quick touchdown strikes by true Freshman phenom Tyrod Taylor early in the first quarter, there was no looking back for the Virginia Tech Hokies as they tallied off 49 more points to make the final score against ECU 63-7.
Taylor, who joined the team only in August, scored four touchdowns against ECU, throwing three through the air and using his wheels to earn him one on the ground.
"It was a good day for the team as a whole," Taylor said after the game. "We were able to move the ball early through the air and on the ground."
Hokies' new head coach Justin Jett was impressed by the performance, but warned against complacency.
"LSU is a really, really tough opponent. We played great today, but that doesn't mean anything next week," Jett said.
