Big plays ignite WVU past UConn

West Virginia used big plays to overcome a 10-7 first quarter defecit to route UConn 34-10 Saturday in Morgantown. Quarterback Jarrett Brown threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns in leading WVU to it's second straight Big East win. Brown finished 18 of 22 on the day, while throwing one interception.

The Mountaineer defense was stout all game long in limiting the Huskies to just 141 yards of total offense. Defensive end Larry Ford led the way for WVU with 8 tackles. UConn's offensive troubles were especially evident on third down as they finished a woeful 1-11.

West Virginia will now host #10 Pitt in the annual Backyard Brawl. The Panthers have won two straight in the series, so WVU will be looking for revenge.
