Win Streak Snapped
Wyoming came into the Sugar Bowl game with a win streak of 26 games. Arkansas had something to say about that. The SEC champions knocked off the undefeated and #13 ranked Cowboys by a final of 7-3 in a hard nosed football game.
Arkansas took it to the #1 ranked rushing defense in the nation and Keenan McCray totaled 222 yards on the ground including the lone Arkansas score.
Overall it was a great season for the Cowboys but this will leave a bad taste in the mouth of team members.
"A loss like this can only help fuel our desire to get better this offseason. We've got a lot of key guys coming back next year and we can only hope to make it a better season than this one." said Coach T
A tough task indeed considering this was their first loss in two years.
