TCU no match for Pokes

Control the clock seems to be a theme for this year's Wyoming squad and it was no different in todays game with TCU. The Pokes, committed to running the football, rushed for 243 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground and held the ball for nearly 15 minutes of the 24 minute game. Much of the ground game came from Freshman HB Ryan Williams who was making his first ever start and playing in his first game at the collegiate level.

Sidelined for the first part of the year with a broken toe suffered in fall practice, Williams wasted no time showing that he belongs. On Wyoming's first drive, they took the ball all the way down to the one yard line before Williams punched it in for his first of 5 total TDs on the day. He would add rushing scores of 29, 3 and 3 and would add one more on a 74 yard reception from QB Leroy Williams. SR FB Jimmy DeAndrea added 68 yards and a TD on only 4 carries for the Cowboys.

On a huge recruiting weekend, the Pokes didn't disappoint. Look for a few key commitments in the next few weeks.
