James Davis has his homecoming

Last time the Tigers had played in Atlanta James Davis was suffering from a broken hand and couldn't play. This time he wanted to show his hometown fans what they were missing out on when he joined the tigers. Georgia Tech was undefeated going 7-0 and ranked number 5 with a win over miami the week before. The tone was set on the first series, when C.j. spiller caught a halfback screen and ran up the left sideline for a 75 yard touchdown. But from that point on James Davis became the Tigers horse with 24 caries for 237 yards almost breaking the single season rush record. Even though davis didn't reach the single game record he broke the season rushing record which was 1345 and also broke the season rushing touchdown record of 17. At the pase davis could reach 2000 yards and cement himself as one of the best backs in NCAA history. The underlying issue of the game were the struggles of freshmen qb matt harris who struggled by throwing 2 picks in the final 2 drives vs. vtech. Well vs. GT he only threw the ball 9 times, completing 7 for 150 yards. Half of which were garnered by C.J. Spillers hb screen run.
