With Ohio State's loss to Iowa, the Georgia Bulldogs assumed control of the #1 spot in the USA Today poll. Stanford moved up to #2 and Florida State assumed the #3 spot after a 45-27 win over Clemson. #4 Nebraska and #5 Oklahoma also received first place votes. Rounding out the top 10 are #6 Virgina Tech, #7 Oklahoma State, #8 USC, #9 Ohio State, and #10 Alabama.
USC made the biggest leap in the polls, jumping from #13 to #8 after a win over Notre Dame. Florida fell to #11 after their loss to now #21 Missouri and Louisville fell to #12 after their loss to now #23 UCF.
In the first BCS Poll that was released on Sunday, Stanford was awarded the #1 ranking, but was tied with Georgia with 0.997 points. Florida State is the #3 team according to the BCS with 0.989 points, followed by Nebraska and Virgina Tech to round out the top 5. With no team really separating themselves from the pack just yet, expect these rankings to change on a weekly basis.

#1 Ohio State: 17
Recap: Iowa took control of the game after halftime and held off Ohio State to knock off the #1 team in the nation. Ohio State lead 14-10 at halftime, but was outscored 17-3 in the second half for the upset.
UCF: 16
#6 Louisville: 10
Recap: UCF's defense held Teddy Bridgewater to only one touchdown and the Knights rallied for 10 points in the fourth quarter to upset the #6 Louisville Cardinals. Bridgewater threw 2 interceptions, both in the fourth quarter, which allowed UCF to rally for the win.
Missouri: 33
#4 Florida: 27
Recap: The Missouri defense intercepted Tyler Murphy 6 times, Jonathan Franklin passed for 198 yards and ran for 114, and the Missouri Tigers dominated the Florida Gators in a 33-27 upset on Saturday. The Tiger defense returned 2 interceptions for touchdowns in a game that was not as close as the score shows.
#13 USC: 38
#17 Notre Dame: 22
Recap: Freshman quarterback Max Browne lead USC to its biggest win of the season in their rivalry game against Notre Dame. Browne threw for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns and Silas Redd added 2 more on the ground to give the Trojans a 38-22 victory.
#2 Georgia: 38
#11 Vanderbilt: 24
Recap: The Georgia Bulldogs used a balanced game to take care of business on Saturday in a 38-24 win over #11 Vanderbilt. Aaron Murray threw for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns and Todd Gurley added another on the ground in the solid win.
Florida State gets revenge on NC State
Florida State finally got vengeance for last year's tragic loss to the Wolfpack. Jameis Winston passed for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns, the Seminoles defense accounted for 11 sacks on the day, and the Noles crushed NC State 82-21.
The Noles ran all over the Wolfpack defense and Devonta Freeman lead the way with 94 yards and one score on the ground. James Wilder Jr and Karlos Williams also scored for the Seminoles, who were up 51-7 at halftime. Rashad Greene had a monster game, catching 6 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. The tight ends were also productive, with both Nick O'Leary and backup Jeremy Kerr catching a pair of touchdowns a piece.
Telvin Smith lead the defense with 7 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. Christian Jones was unstoppable off the edge and accounted for 3 sacks on the day. Demonte McAllister and Eddie Goldman also had a pair of sacks a piece. The Seminole defense was dominant throughout the game, even after the second half when backups came in to play.
NC State quarterback Brandon Mitchell was pressured all game and only threw for 151 yards and 2 scores. The NC State run game was nonexistant and Shadrach Thornton only managed 21 yards on 15 carries.
With this win, Florida State moves to 7-0 on the season and 5-0 in ACC play. NC State falls to 5-2 and 2-2 in the ACC. Next week, Florida State has a big matchup with rival Miami at home in Tallahassee.
