ISU dominates SJSU at home
Before the game, coaches learned that impact HB Josh Barnett would be suspended for the remainder of the year for cheating on exams. ISU would get the ball first in this game, and they drove down the field, and backup HB Chris Seals ran it in for a TD. SJSU would come back with a 67 yard TD from Tafralis to Carter. That would be all of the scoring in the first quarter, making it a 7-7 game.
Chris Holling would intercept a pass early in the 2nd, which turned into a Kendrick Bolen to Willie Pino 76 yard TD one play later. Teams would exchange interceptions after an SJSU punt, and ISU was able to get a 19 yard FG from Tony Houston as time ran out in the half to make the halftime score 17-7 ISU.
Teams exchanged punts coming out of halftime, but San Jose would get on the board again with backup QB#2 hitting Nolan for an 11 yard TD. That's all that happened in the third, making the score 17-14 ISU.
After exchanging punts again to start the 4th, ISU would recover a fumble, and FB Keith Lohse would get a TD on a FB blast from 13 yards out. ISU would get another FR on the next drive, which resulted in a 34 yard FG from Houston, making the final score in the game 27-14 ISU.
