2007 Week 5

The Hornets of Sacremento State recieved the opening kick, but fumbled it, and it was recovered by ISU WR Henry Rodriguez. ISU wasted no time putting it in the endzone, scoring on a 1 play, 34 yard drive from Kendrick Bolen to Willie Pino. After a couple punts, and a few turnovers, ISU scored again when Bolen hit Pino on a quick slant, who turned it into an 88 yard TD, to make the 1st quarter score 14-0 ISU.

But CSUS answered back, albeit answered quietly, with a 37 yard FG, and ISU matched it with a Tony Houston 21 yarder. That would be all of the scoring for the 2nd quarter, making the score 17-3 at half.

ISU came out of halftime and got the ball, and took it right down the field, ending the drive with a 3 yard TD run from Chris Seals. But CSUS wouldn't go away, coming back with a 3 yard TD run of its own, from HB#13. After Bolen was intercepted, QB#8 found TE#87 to bring CSUS within a TD. And after a turnover on downs, they would get that TD, on a 66 yard pass from QB#8 to WR#11, tieing the score at 24 at the end of the quarter.

Kendrick Bolen seemed to pull himself back together in the 4th quarter, however, and drove ISU back down the field to score the go ahead TD on an 11 yard pass from Bolen to Akilah Lacey. CSUS's comeback attempt was foiled by a Scott Davis INT.
