Rough Schedule Leaves NSU 7-6

A daunting schedule proved to be almost too much for NSU. The Prairie Dogs had the toughest schedule in the nation and the ending record showed as much. NSU trailed by double-digits in all but two games and overcame a 2-5 start to finish at 7-6, extending the school's consecutive winning seasons to 68. To give NSU some credit, all six losses were to teams ranked entering bowl season and all opponents combined for an overall record of 98-58, making Season 175 one of the most difficult in NSU history.
To add insult to injury, NSU also ended the season with no players on the award lists or even in the Top 10 of those lists. Only Hancock made 1st Team All-American and was joined by Gold who netted a Second Team status. Only 5 Prairie Dogs made the All-Big 10 lists.
