Bowl Eligible in the Greatest Conference in Football

6 teams are bowl eligible and 2 more teams are 1 win away.

Let it sink in a little...

Out of the 12 teams in the ACC, 8 could very easily be bowl eligible by next week and its entirely possible that 10 out of the 12 could be by the end of the year with only 3 weeks left to play. Now that is conference football.

As for the game, Wake won fairly easily. After a slow first quarter, Wake erupted for 21 unanswered points in the 2nd. The offense was sparked by the mostly un-talked about Kevin Marion. Marion ran a 99 yard kick off to the house after a BC score. On the ensuing kickoff, BC would fumble and Wake would take it to the house. Then, after a BC 3 and out on the next possession, Wake would score once more right before the half to go up 21-14. A FG in the third and another score in the 4th would seal the deal for the Demon Deacons. Andrews picked up his 4th 100 yard rushing game of the year (I'm counting the 98 yard game as 100.) But Mauk continued to struggle as he only had 66yards passing while only completing 42.9% of his passes.

Next week Wake travels to Tallahassee, Florida to take on ACC oppenent FSU. FSU(6-3) is ranked #22 in the polls.
