2006 Week 6

4:00 left in the second quarter. Only 5 minutes had progressed in the game. Wake Forest was up 21-0 and was sitting pretty. "I'll be honest. I thought we were gonna blow them out and I wasn't really concerned with how our defense was going to hold up because they gave up a total 1 yard in the first quarter. But if I had to choose two words that described this game they would be 'premature ejaculation.' We blew our load to early. 21 points in 5 minutes and 0 points in the next 11. Not to mention John Elway over there threw 350yds passing in 12 minutes of football. Just goes to show ya, we are still a building program and I think this loss will bring the team back down to Earth. That's really all that needs to be said about this game and we're moving on and our focus is on NC State."

As Coach said, next week's game is against a good ACC oppenent in NC State(3-2). While being (0-2) in the conference, NC State has only given up a total of 82 points on the year which is 5 points less than 2nd best in the league. This could spell trouble as Wake is ranked 117th (out of 119) in total yards per game.
