2006 Week 11

With an NC State loss and a Wake Forest win next week. Wake would take over the lead in the ACC Atlantic division. However, with 2 games to play, NC State only has one and wins the tiebreaker so State must lose to UNC to give Wake a shot.

This game was won from the very beginning. Wake Forest hit the gas and never let up. Florida State was unable to convert a third or fourth down on the entire day. Their two TD's came on break away streaks where the WR's speed just outmatched our CB's. But other than that the running and short passing went for minimal yardage everytime. At one point the game was 34-3 and Coach DeLoye was nowhere to be found. IT is rumored that DeLoye was seen on the opposing sideline and had just speared the Seminole off of his white horse and was now riding it up and down the sideline. All in good fun.

Next week is the big one. Virginia Tech. They are still undefeated and are the nation's #2 defense. Again, if we win this game and NC State loses, then it's our championship for the taking.
