Mountaineers Use Arial Assault To Down Huskies

In their first game since losing HB Noel Devine for the season, the Mountaineer offense showed it could win in other ways. Pat White threw for 349 Yards and 5 touchdowns to lead West Virginia to a 44-17 victory Saturday evening at Connecticut. Alric Arnett had seven catches for 116 yards including 4 Touchdowns. Senior Dorrell Jalloh added another 7 catches for 98 yards on the night.

The stout Mountainner defense held UConn to just 48 yards rushing on the night. Senior Linebacker Mortty Ivy finished with 10 tackles including 4 stops behind the line and one sack.

West Virginia returns to action next Saturday when they host the Bearcats of Cincinnati at Milan Puskar Stadium.
