2007 Week 11

On The Schedule: Vanderbilt W 24-14

All Quiet in Week 11

Weekly Report Posted: May 19, 2024 21:08

No news has been reported this week.

In his first game back in the starting lineup since missing the past three games with back spasms, senior halfback Rafael Little rushed a season high 28 times for 122 yards & 2 TD as the #21 Kentucky Wildcats sailed past Vanderbilt 24-14.

Little, who hasn't taken more than 19 carries in a game prior to today, proved to be a workhorse, taking 7 carries in a row late in the fourth quarter, just churning out yards and moving the sticks.

"It's great to have him back in the lineup, not all the pressure is on Andre anymore," Coach J.Camp commented. Andre Woodson finished 13 of 21 for 227yds, TD, INT. Two weeks ago Woodson connected with Keenan Burton for a 73 yards touchdown pass, and this week he hooked up with #2 receiver Dicky Lyons for a 75 yard TD strike in the third quarter. Lyons has had a pretty silent season thus far, just 22 receptions for 345 yards & 3 TD.

It was an exciting day for Wildcats sophomore defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon, whose third sack on Vanderbilt quarterback Chris Nickson was his 14th of the season, setting a new school record for most sacks in a single season. Dennis Johnson was the previous record holder, recording 13 sacks in 2001. The best part is, Jarmon is only a sophomore!

Kentucky will travel next week to take on Georgia(6-4) in their second to last game of the regular season. That game will be Nationally Broadcasted.
