Little's 356, late forced fumble yields HUGE upset!

In one of the greatest Battle for the Governor's Cup to date, the Kentucky Wildcats upset the #10 Louisville Cardinals 45-42 on a rainy, sloppy Nationally Broadcasted Saturday evening. On the ensuing kickoff after Kentucky took a 42-35 lead with less than a minute remaining in the game, sophomore linebacker Micah Johnson layed out Cardinals return man Harry Douglass, whose fumble was then scooped up by E.J. Adams, securing the Wildcats victory in dramatic fashion.

It was truly a tale of two halves, as Louisville scored 35 of their 45 points in the first half, and 28 of them in the second quarter. Kentucky would score 24 unanswered second half points, taking the 45-35 lead before Louisville would score their final touchdown with zero seconds on the clock.

"We just kept on playing hard, not giving up," senior tailback Rafael Little said. "We had some costly turnovers, we trailed pretty big in the first half but we just kept doing our thing." Little really did keep doing his thing, as he amassed 356 all-purpose yards(164 rush, 132 rec, 60 kick return) and three touchdowns, leading Kentucky to their first win over Louisville since 2002.

Kentucky's defense played spectacular the entire game, but most notably in the second half, allowing just one touchdown which came as the clock read 0:00. Louisville totalled just 241 yards of offense, which Kentucky nearly doubled, they posted 463.

All eyes were on Wildcats quarterback Andre Woodson, who has thrown eight interceptions in his first two games this year. Woodson impressed, finishing 15 of 20 for 220yds, 3TD & 2 INT.

"Everyone played great," Coach Camp commented. "You could tell that Louisville thought they had a cake-walk by halftime, but we came out and played some inspired football. Hopefully this momentum carries into next week."

It doesn't get much easier for Kentucky(2-1) as they take on #8 Arkansas(2-0) next week in their first road game of the season.
