The San Jose State Spartans won their second straight football Saturday in a thrilling 52-51 WAC game against the Nevada Wolfpack.

"This is my sixth year coaching College Football and this was by far the most exciting victory and most satisfying win I have ever been apart of, that includes the Championship Games in Lincoln."

Nevada had the lead at 51-38 with under three minutes to go in the game and that's when the Spartans turned it up a notch. Quarterback Graham Everson who had been struggling the majority of the game caught fire completing pass after pass leading the Spartans down to the two yard line with just under a minute to go. They hurry it up and hand it off to halfback Jason Harris who pounds it in from two yards out to make it a 51-45 game with 57 seconds to go.

The Spartans lined up for an onside kick and recovered it after it hit a Wolfpack player right in the middle of the helmet as he missed trying to catch the ball. After a few incomplete passes it was fourth down and ten and quarterback Graham Everson dropped back and found wide receivcer Will Frye on a 60 yard Go for the touchdown with just 37 second left in regulation, after the PAT the Spartans took the lead at 52-51.

Nevada was unable to move the ball after that and the clock ran out! The San Jose State Spartans were able to come back and defeat an underachieving Nevada Wolfpack team by a score of 52-51.

One of the key stats of the ballgame was Nevada quarterback Billy Wright throwing an amazing eight interceptions. He came into the ballgame only haven thrown two picks on the year.

"This was a big win, this is a kind of game that will turn a season around, let's see where it leads us." Coach Williams said at the end of the game.

This game netted a Greatest Game score of 1,500.
