Spartans Remain Perfect in WAC Play

The San Jose State Spartans hit the road Saturday as they traveled across the Pacific Ocean to take on a tough Hawaii Warriors football team. However, the Warriors couldn't handle the suddenly strong San Jose State Spartans falling by a score of 55-36.

"We came out with a well structured game plan and it worked to perfection," Coach Williams said following the game, "The players did what they were supposed to do and that led to yet another victory. I am very proud, I think the past two weeks we have really grown as a football team. Teams better starting watching out for us, no longer are we going to be the laughing stock of the WAC and the NCAA."

Bryan Holland had his best game of the season throwing for 347 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception. "I saw the field a lot better out their today which led to a better overall game by myself and the offense. If I can continue to make smart reads then we will continue to win football games, no questions asked, guaranteed." Coach Williams said.

Trey Dorsey also had a big game for the Spartans rushing for 172 yards and a touchdown. Hawaii lost their starting quarterback Tim Davis early in the first quarter. Hiis backup, McKinley Barry had a solid game, but, overall Davis can lead the Hawaii offense more smoothly which led to Hawaii being beaten.

Next week the Lousiana Tech Bulldogs will pay a visit to San Jose to do battle with the Spartans.
